With the launch of Wuthering Waves Version 2.0 just around the corner, Kuro Games has been busy promoting the update through trailers and illustrations on social media. The upcoming patch will feature five confirmed characters, starting with Carlotta and Roccia, both 5-Star units from Rinascita. Fans have been making guesses about which units might appear in future updates, including Brant and Zani, thanks to the recent official media. Additionally, Kuro Games has subtly teased another character in a special trailer.
Wuthering Waves enthusiasts have discovered the intriguing character Katixiya in a BiliBili-exclusive advertisement. Although her in-game model had been leaked earlier along with other characters from Version 2.0, Kuro Games has not yet revealed her in any Western promotional materials. The BiliBili video features a close-up of Katixiya, emphasizing her pointed elf-like ears and a lovely branch wreath on her head. This look matches previous leaks about her design. With Katixiya appearing in official Wuthering Waves media, even if it’s only on Chinese social platforms, there’s a good chance players will encounter her as a surprise character in Version 2.0.
Wuthering Waves Subtly Reveals New Character Katixiya
Katixiya isn’t the only character that fans have been buzzing about for upcoming Wuthering Waves updates. Previous leaks suggested that Phrolova is set to be the main villain in Version 2.0 and may also become a playable character later on. Additionally, the Aero Rover is expected to make its appearance in Version 2.2, which would give the main character their third playable Element, following Havoc and Spectro. With only six Elements available in the game, it looks like Rover will soon have mastery over half of them.
Wuthering Waves has primarily highlighted the stunning visuals of Rinascita in its promotional materials, but players can look forward to more details about exciting new gameplay features soon. Meanwhile, Kuro Games has teased some new Echoes and enemies, along with a fresh lineup of craftable weapons in Wuthering Waves. The highly anticipated 2.0 update for the RPG is set to launch on January 2, bringing fans into the city of Ragunna and expanding the explorable regions in Rinascita.
