Studio Wildcard has released a refreshed content roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended. This update highlights the developer’s plans for nearly two years of exciting updates for the game.
The remastered version of the popular survival crafting game ARK: Survival Evolved made its debut in early access in late November 2023. Since then, Studio Wildcard has been consistently providing ARK: Survival Ascended with fresh content updates.
On January 11, the developer from Redmond, Washington, revealed its updated game roadmap extending through late 2026. The first item on this new agenda isn’t a content release but rather a technical patch that will upgrade ARK: Survival Ascended to the latest version of Unreal Engine 5, specifically version 5.5. Studio Wildcard mentioned that this upgrade will bring notable performance enhancements. Additionally, around this time, the developer intends to restore support for Nvidia’s frame generation, which had been removed in the latter half of 2024 due to engine-related challenges.
ARK: Survival Ascended Content Roadmap for 2025–2026

The UE5 update will further Studio Wildcard’s mission to reorganize the game’s data, enabling players to download ARK: Survival Ascended DLC packs one at a time. This targeted method of map delivery is designed to reduce the overall install size of the game. Additionally, players can look forward to new content coming in April 2025, featuring a Fantastic Tame and a complimentary creature, the Bison.
A new map for ARK: Survival Ascended is set to launch in June 2025, as confirmed by Studio Wildcard. This exciting addition will be available as paid DLC. More information about the map is expected to be shared in the coming months, likely around early spring. Additionally, players can look forward to a new Fantastic Tame and a free creature chosen by the community, both arriving in August 2025.
In 2026, Studio Wildcard will shift its attention to remastering the Genesis expansions of ARK: Survival Evolved. The first part of Genesis is set to be released for Survival Ascended in April 2026, with Part 2 following four months later. Both expansions will debut alongside a segment of Bob’s True Tales, which was previously revealed as part of the game’s season pass. Players can expect a remastered version of the Fjordur map to arrive as a free update in December 2026. Furthermore, Studio Wildcard intends to introduce three additional Fantastic Tames throughout the year. There may also be some exciting surprises planned for the next two years, as the recently shared roadmap offers a broad overview rather than a detailed look at everything coming to ARK: Survival Ascended.
